Application Form to Reserve Hermitage

Many people come to our hermitages for retreats of many types. Some come seeking spiritual growth, others seeking stillness from the pace of daily life. Reading, writing, prayer, mediation, worship, nature walks, all can be part of a retreat. Some spend part, or all of their retreat in silence. Our hermitages are intended as places of retreat and reflection not as vacation cabins.
Each retreatant is responsible for their own meals and food purchases. If the Conference Center kitchen is open you are welcome to purchase meals with advance notice at an additional cost. The Conference Center has a strict no pet policy for our hermitages. The entire hermitage complex is completely non-smoking. CD players and radio’s are permissible as long as they cannot be heard outside of your hermitage out of respect for others on retreat. DSL service is available in each cabin but we recommend you think very carefully about whether a computer will improve or diminish your retreat.
Costs: $40 per night for 1st and 2nd night, 3rd-6th night is $30 per night, 7th and up is $20 per night.
Reservations are confirmed upon receipt of a non-refundable/ non-transferable deposit in the amount of $40.00 and this registration form. If for some reason you are unable to make your retreat we will consider your deposit a donation to our ongoing ministry of hospitality. The remainder will be due 2 weeks prior to your retreat by cash or check. Sorry, but we do not take credit cards.
The Valle Crucis Conference Center reserves the right to decline applications for retreats or place applicants who have made a number of retreats with us in the past on a waiting list so all may enjoy our hermitages. Valle Crucis may also exercise discretion over admission based on other priorities. Deposit checks are returned to applicants if they are placed on a waiting list or are declined.
